ISO BOM

Piping isometrics in, consolidated xlsx bill of materials out, with revision deltas

ISO BOM
01

Problem

A piping project can carry hundreds of isometric sheets, each with its own BOM table & title block. Consolidating those into one purchasing list means reading every page by hand, and when a revision lands, working out what changed between Rev 1 & Rev 2 across the whole package is where the real pain (and the real money) sits.

02

Approach

ISO BOM reads uploaded isometric PDFs page by page: the bill of materials table of each sheet & the title block for the drawing number & revision. It counts the components, rolls everything up into a consolidated BOM & exports the lot to xlsx. Unlike P&IDs, an isometric's BOM table is self-describing, so there is no symbology to teach, just upload & read. Reprocess the project after a revision & it calculates the deltas per drawing, what each new revision adds or removes.

03

Result

Purchasing gets a single consolidated list instead of a stack of sheets and on revised projects they see exactly what to buy or send back rather than re-checking the whole package. Built on the same upload, store, rasterise, read, persist & export pipeline as PID BOM.
